Conference interpretation is the verbal translation of speeches and presentations made at meetings, conferences, congresses, lectures, trials, depositions, business meetings, negotiations, etc.

There are two main conference interpretation modalities: simultaneous interpretation and consecutive interpretation.

Simultaneous interpretation is real time conversion, from one language to another, and this is the system used for conferences, congresses, product launches, negotiations, workshops and others in: English-Spanish-English / French-Spanish-French / Portuguese-Spanish-Portuguese.

Normally, this is done with two interpreters that relay every 15-20 minutes.
To this end, a booth, receivers and earphones must be used in order for the message to be conveyed in a fluent, swift and efficient manner.

Consecutive interpretation is the relaying of one language to another, of a spoken message, speaking after the speaker has finished his/her sentence. This system is used for work meetings, lectures, press conferences, product launches and interviews in English-Spanish / Portuguese-Spanish.

Usually, neither equipment nor booth is required for meetings with consecutive interpretation, as the working group is small in numbers.
